This lesson is from Grade 5 of PEP,Unit3 What would you like? It is the first dialog in this unit.This topic about food is related to our daily life.Students will be interested in this topic.We try to make the students express their thoughts on eating freely. |

Students in Grade 5 have known some words about food.It is not too difficult for them to say.But it is difficult for them to say the sentences freely.They need ore practice and more confidence. |

Step1: Pre-listening |

Step2: While- listening |
Presentation Let’s try. Ask students to listen carefully and answer the questions on the book.

Let’s talk. Here are 5 tasks for students: Task 1:Look and think. Show students the picture of the dialog.Ask students to think. 1. Who is that man? 2. Where are they? 3. What are they talking about?
Task 2:Listen and answer. Play the recording for the first time and answer the questions: 1. What would Sarah’s father like to eat? 2. What would he like to drink? At last,check the answers.
Task 3:Listen and imitate. Before listening,ask students to pay attention to the stress,intonation and pause in a sentences.Then play the recording for the second time.
Task 4:Fill in the blanks. Ask pairs of students to fill in the blanks of the dialog.
Task 5:Let’s act Ask the students to do the role-play with their partners.Then ask some groups to show on the stage.

Step3: Post-listening |
Group work:Set a situation. Next Thursday is Thanksgiving Day(感恩节).I will have a party at home.I hope you can come.But I don't know what you would like.Please survey your partners and then send me an email.
Ask
students to finish the survey in groups.Then ask some of them to show on the
stage.
Moral education:We have rich food on our tables.But still some poor people don’t have enough food.We should cherish our food and our lives. |
